Professional Background

Aziz primarily provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and groups who have been diagnosed with, or are experiencing symptoms consistent with, a range of mental health conditions. Some of his areas of focus include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, developmental disorders, and personality disorders. He tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering a supportive and individualized therapeutic environment.

Approach to Counseling

As part of his work as a counselor, Aziz tends to operate from a Motivational Interviewing (MI) approach, a client-centered and evidence-based method designed to enhance intrinsic motivation for change. This approach involves collaboratively exploring and resolving ambivalence, rather than imposing directives or advice. As a client, you can expect him to engage you in thoughtful, respectful dialogue that may gently challenge your current perceptions of change. The goal is to support your autonomy and help you uncover your own reasons and readiness for change, as lasting transformation is more likely to occur when it is internally motivated rather than externally imposed.

In his spare time, Aziz enjoys engaging in a variety of enriching activities, including reading thought-provoking literature, maintaining an active lifestyle through regular exercise, following sports, exploring creative expression through photography, and reflecting through the art of poetry.
